Tok & King Running On The Trail

About: This experience is a modified version of our popular 2 hour dog sledding adventure. It has been designed for families and small groups looking for a more budget-friendly dog sledding experience. It’s a great cost cutting option, the trade-off is that not everyone will be on the trail at the same time. This tour is open to those ages 2+.

Educational Component: Guests will spend 30-40 minutes meeting and greeting sled dogs and preparing their sled(s) with their musher, which involves harnessing and hitching their team, etc.

The Ride: Once the sled(s) is ready, your larger group will split up into 2 smaller groups. One group will embark on a short 20 minute ride, while the second group hops in their vehicle and meets up with the team at a nearby trail head (about a 5 minute drive). At this turnaround, the two groups will switch places. The second group will enjoy a short 20 minute ride back to the kennel while the first group rides back in their vehicle.

Treats: We always leave some time at the end for guests to get photos with the sled dogs and “tip” them with dog treats for a job well done (just don’t feed the mushers).

Availability: This tour departs most Tuesdays – Sundays starting in mid-December and goes until the end of March (trail conditions permitting). This tour departs at 9:30am, 12:00pm and 3:00pm. Reservations are required.

Cost:

  • $425 per sled (6 guests/680lbs)
  • Again, guests will be splitting up into 2 smaller groups and taking turns going on a shorter ride using 1 sled. Your group needs to be able to split up into two groups of 2-3 guests/340lbs weight limit. Please contact us if you are unsure of this stipulation.

Please Note: While we are typically on winter sleds from the end of December until mid-March, your musher may use a rolling dog sleds to conduct your tour if trail conditions permit. Refunds WILL NOT be issued in the event that trail conditions require use of a rolling dog sled.
