The staff (the dogs)
Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel is a kennel comprised of
86 sled dogs, ranging from racing Alaskan Huskies, to
more traditional breeds like Siberians and Malamutes.
Regardless of breed, our dogs all share common traits
of friendliness towards people, the love of running, and
an athletic & competitive nature. We focus on rescuing
alaskan huskies in need of a home, giving them a "job
for life" with our kennel.
The rest of us (the two-legged staff)
Now that we've described the most important members
of our kennel, on to the humans...
The humans of Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel consist of
a bunch of dog lovers and adrenaline junkies. Our
favorite thing to do is share the passion and adventure
of dogsledding from the musher's perspective. Tours
aren't just sitting in the sled and going for a ride, but
rather involve interacting with dogs, and learning
aspects of a culture that many people just don't get to
experience. However... if you prefer to have a relaxing
ride, that's fine as well!
*****You'll have the opportunity to drive a Team!*****
(With an experienced musher of course... for the safety of the
dogs it is the musher's discretion as to whether the passenger
may drive)
