Get ready for the thrill of a lifetime when you are transported by dog sled through
the picturesque snow covered trails surrounding Smugglers’ Notch. Take in the
spectacular winter scenery as you glide across our winter wonderland behind a
powerful team of sled dogs from Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel. Steeped in the
traditions of New England, this adventure gives you a look at the traditional way
of traveling, before snow machines and cars. You'll experience nature as
explorers have for hundreds of years. As the team stretches out and attacks the
trail ahead of them, you'll enjoy the ride of a lifetime. It's amazing to watch these
high-drive dogs do what they were bred to do. You’ll get to feel the adrenaline
rush when the dogs slam into their harnesses at hook-up with the excitement of
the run and then relax to the calm tranquility of the trail.

Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel mushers and dogs love to introduce their guests to
a sport that many never get to experience. Hands on from start to finish, guests
participate as much or as little as they wish. Pet the friendly canine athletes, give
a cookie, help with harnessing, try out the commands and even DRIVE THE
SLED! (at musher discretion of course, for guest and dog team safety). Sit back
and take in the well-maintained, groomed trails, and hear stories about the
Muddy Paw Dogs. Many dogs on your team were rescued and  others have run
the famous Iditarod and Quest races.

Advance registration at the Guest Service Desk or Nordic Center Desk is
required. One sled can accommodate 350 lbs. 2 guests per sled $150, additional
guest $20. Guests must be at least 2 years old.
